The terms under which Here2Help provides services to families and hospitals across Ireland.
Last updated: 26 May 2026 · Version: 1.0
These terms govern your use of the Here2Help service. By booking a companion, applying to be a companion, or otherwise using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
"Here2Help," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Here2Help, a discharge companion service registered in Ireland (registered office and company number disclosed in our Contact page and footer). "You" refers to the person making the booking or applying to work with us.
Here2Help connects you with vetted, insured companions to provide hospital discharge support services across Ireland. This includes:
Here2Help is a non-clinical service. We do not provide:
If your relative needs clinical support, please contact your GP, the hospital that discharged them, or the relevant HSE service.
How bookings are confirmed. A booking is confirmed when (a) you complete the booking form, (b) payment is taken or invoiced, and (c) we confirm by phone within one hour during operating hours (8am-8pm, seven days). If we cannot fulfil a booking, we will tell you immediately and refund any payment taken.
Pricing. The base service is €100 (one hundred euro) for an estimated 1.5–2 hours of companion time in the Dublin region. Additional time is billed at €30 per hour in 30-minute increments. Drop-offs outside the standard Dublin catchment include a transparent distance surcharge, quoted upfront before you confirm. All prices include VAT where applicable.
Payment. Payment is taken at booking by Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay) or by bank transfer where pre-arranged. Hospital-referral bookings may be invoiced separately. Companions are paid weekly from Here2Help; you do not pay the companion directly.
Hospital discharge times shift. We've designed the service to handle that:
Public liability and professional indemnity. Here2Help carries public liability and professional indemnity insurance for the duration of every booking. This covers reasonable accidents that may occur during the booking itself.
Motor liability. Each companion's motor insurance is verified for paid passenger carry before they take a Here2Help booking. In the event of a road traffic incident during a booking, the companion's motor policy applies; Here2Help's cover sits behind it.
Limits. To the maximum extent permitted by Irish law, Here2Help's liability arising out of or in connection with any single booking is limited to the value of that booking. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Patient outcomes. Here2Help does not warrant, and cannot warrant, any specific medical or recovery outcome. We are a non-clinical service. The patient's clinical care remains the responsibility of their treating clinicians.
Companions are independent contractors, not employees of Here2Help. Here2Help is a platform that connects you with the companion and handles vetting, scheduling, payment processing, insurance, and family communication. The relationship is analogous to the one between Bolt and a hackney driver.
This does not change your contract with us — your booking is with Here2Help, and we are responsible for the delivery of the service through the assigned companion. You do not contract directly with the companion and you do not pay them on the day.
We expect patients and families to treat companions with courtesy and dignity. We reserve the right to terminate a booking immediately and without refund if a companion is subjected to abuse, threats of violence, or sexual harassment. We will tell you why if this happens.
Where a hospital discharge planner refers a patient to us, there is no charge to the hospital. The booking and payment relationship is between Here2Help and the patient or their family. We do not pay or receive referral commission to or from any hospital, clinician, or healthcare organisation.
Applying to be a Here2Help companion is free. We may decline any application at our discretion. If your application is unsuccessful, we tell you. If you are accepted, separate terms — the Companion Contractor Agreement — govern your work with us; that document is provided before you commence onboarding.
The Here2Help name, logo, website content, and operational templates are our intellectual property. You may not copy or reproduce them without our written permission, except where you would normally do so as a customer (e.g. saving a booking confirmation, sharing a page link).
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you the current version. Material changes will be notified by email to anyone with an active booking or active companion account. Continued use of the service after the change constitutes acceptance.
